The Port of Larvik handles a huge variety of goods. Steel and wood products, granite, project cargo, offshore installations and the import of raw materials for the agricultural cooperative Felleskjøpet make up a large part of the daily activity of the port.

Stone exports

Larvikite is the national stone of Norway and is found only in the Larvik area. In the quarries around Larvik, large blocks of Larvikite are extracted and exported to factories all over the world. The Larvikite blocks are shipped out via the port in containers and as bulk cargo on ships and barges, and are a major export item from the Port of Larvik.
