Ferries have traditionally been important to Larvik and the first ferry route to Denmark was established as early as 1937. From its modern facilities at Revet, Color Line now operates the route with two daily sailings to Hirtshals in Denmark.

Color Line carries 742 000 passengers and 84 500 freight units on its sailings between Larvik and Hirtshals. This makes the terminal in Larvik the largest ferry ports in Norway for freight. SuperSpeed 2 has a sailing time of 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Color Line AS is responsible for all operation of the facilities.
